Step 1: Check the garment for stained areas and note them. Dampen a soft cloth using chlorine free bleach and dab the stain on the cloth using this soft cloth without stretching.
Step 2: Soak your Merino garment in a basin of warm water for 15 minutes. Add mild detergent, preferably woolmark approved. Avoid using biological detergents as they may cause irreparable damage.
Step 3: Mildly hand wash in the basin and gently rinse your garment in cold, clean water.
Step 4: Don't wring your garment after rinsing. Instead of rinsing, reshape the garment while it's still damp. Then, place it on a towel and leave to dry.
Machine Wash Instructions
Step 1: Always wash with like for like colours on low medium heat no higher than 30°C.
Step 2: Wash inside out using mild liquid soap. If the detergent is powdered, dissolve it in little water before using.
Step 3: Then, tumble dry your garment when it is still damp on low heat. Do not dry it under direct sunlight as it may shrink the garment.
Place a woolen towel on the ironing surface. Set the iron to minimum temperature and gently press your garment with a non-steam iron.
Gently fold your garment into neat, airtight bags. Always allow 24 hours between each wear. In order to prevent moth infestation, tie up a natural moth repellant like rosemary or cedar or lavender in a gauze parcel and put near the garment.
