Cashmere Care

Step 1: Always wash the garment inside out. Make lukewarm lather from warm water not hotter than 30°C and baby shampoo or mild detergent.

Step 2: Gently submerge your cashmere blend in the lather and soak for 5 - 10 minutes.

Step 3: Then, rinse in clean water without wringing your garment; this is to prevent shrinking.

Step 4: Lay the cashmere on a mat, roll up the mat starting from the end closest to you. Then, gently unroll the towel and lift the cashmere off.

Step 5: Air dry by placing it on a flat towel. Do not hang your garment, otherwise the shoulders stretch out and become misshapen.

Step 1: Fill the machine with cold water no hotter than 30°C and add gentle detergent. Then, set the machine to gentle cycle.

Step 2: Allow the machine wash your garment for a few minutes. Rinse in cold water.

Step 3: Lay your garment made from cashmere and wool on a mat and roll the mat up to reshape.

Step 4: Air dry your garment away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

Set the iron to the minimum temperature. Place a slight damp cloth on the cashmere. Then, gently press your garment without steam.

Gently fold the cashmere and put in a closet shelf or using our Bellemere Zipper Re useable bag, Place Cedar wood ball or ring inside to avoid Moth damage the pieces. Do not hang your cashmere blend.
Put in air-tight container near lavender or any of the natural moth repellents.

Brush the cashmere with a fine tooth comb or an electric fabric shaver. However, it is recommended to first wash before brushing.
